In other news, I got asked for my ID yesterday while buying a lotto ticket.
So i was quite shocked. i mean i'm 23 next month!
Well, i never buy alcohol or lotto. i guess that was why it was shocking. ha.

me: Ich hätte gern ein Rubbellos, bitte. (I'd like a ticket, please.)
man: Sind sie achtzehn? (are you 18?) ('sie' can also mean 'they')
me: Nein sie sind 1€. (no,they are 1 euro) (i thought he meant the tickets, i confuse 80 and 18 in german, along with 4 and 5, so in my head this made sense.)
man: Nein, sind SIE achtzehn? (no, are YOU 18)
me: Uh. (this needs no translation..)
man: Haben Sie einen Ausweis? (do you have a ID card?)
me: OK.

Then i exited the store and Heiko went in and bought one.
'cause y'know, he has a moustache like Pedro.

Tête à Tête

It seems like every sunday afternoon there is a western movie on tv. Just like back home, only dubbed in German.

We thought this daffodil was only going to have two flowers.

One day when we were in town, a pigeon got stuck in the store opposite where we were sitting. They eventually threw a blanket over it and got it out, but not before it had messed up the window display.

Yesterday some good things happened in Australia, it was my Grandma's birthday and there was finally an apology to the stolen generations.

38.7 C (101 F) today..in my head.

I did paint them afterall, but the heating probably gave them an early death. Having chills and a fever is no fun.

On the left, watercolours. right, oils (this one is not yet finished.)

Today i was thinking of Ziggy, the first family dog we had. She lived to 14 and a half, and went out of the world eating chocolate. Which is a pretty good old age & not a bad way to go.

spring is on the way

The boiled eggs in the store are even prettier these days.

Daffodils are in season..I've never seen them in person before.

If you had problems with seeing the pictures on my last post, please check out my flickr art set HERE. It has all my recent art and flyers for shows.

I think i will try update my blog a bit more often. Is that a good idea? Do many people read this?

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have a 4 day weekend because of Fasching. It's carnival/Mardi Gras, i think. So everyone is dressing up in funny costumes for it. We might go have a look at the parades, but i don't think i will wear a costume!
