mum's apricot balls

chomp

apricot balls

for me, it wouldn't be christmas without these!

i made these with my mum's recipe, she makes them every year at christmas:

250g shredded coconut (+ 100-150 grams more for rolling)
1 tin of condensed milk (the stuff nestle makes)
200grams of finely chopped dried apricots.

mix together, shape into balls and roll in extra coconut and keep in the fridge, serve cool.

Oma had never tried them before, and she said they taste a bit like white raffaellos.
Does anyone know where these originate?

& some good news: my 5 new works finally showed up at Thinkspace Gallery! They said they will display them in January.

p.s

dead shrew

Here is a shrew that was lying outside. It looks like a cat got it. (Australia doesn't have shrews, so of course I had to take a picture.)
