colour pencils

..my granny gave me a book of rose paintings by Redoutè, & it mentioned Josephine's impressive rose collection/garden..so when i needed a title for this one, it seemed to fit.




these are some postcards i bought in Berlin. i wish i knew the name of the artist who made the top postcard. Jo took us to an exhibition of her/his work at Tacheles and it was really impressive.

the jacky winter group

A few months ago, Jeremy Wortsman contacted me about being part of the Jacky Winter Group, which would represent Aussie illustrators overseas, so i happily agreed & made the above image for the field guide. Jeremy makes Is Not Magazine, which is a kind of poster magazine which is very cool, and you can often see it attached to public walls around Melbourne and Sydney. The website for Jacky Winter is lovely & includes images from some of my favourite aussie illustrators, like Eamo and Kat Macleod! If you're interested, go here to check it out.

stargazer

Drawn with colour pencils.

Heiko bought me some pink stargazer lilies, & they've been sitting on my drawing(&also our coffee) table. Their scent is totally intoxicating, especially when they're 30cm from your face. They are my favourite flowers, along with daisies.)

This drawing will be on for sale and on display from December 7th, 2007 - December 23rd, 2008 at Thinkspace gallery. (don't know the name of the show yet, but i do know Stella Im Hultberg will be in it too! :D )

if you read heiko's journal you'll know we went to the berlin zoo and saw the panda Baobao! i have so many photos to upload, but our internet connection here has been quite bad. it will hopefully get fixed tomorrow. we're going to vienna tomorrow too. so when we return im hoping i can upload all my photos :)
