for the man i love...

panda diorama

panda diorama 2

Several months ago, i began a diorama for Heiko's birthday, and so now, here it is finally finished! I looked at a japanese garden book that had garden layouts and used these to try and make a nicely proportioned garden.

The panda is modeled off photos we took at Berlin zoo of Baobao. The pretzel is made from aluminium foil from a kinder surprise wrapper.

materials: glue, cotton, paint, clay, window frame, aluminium foil

11/12: i've submitted this to the illustrationfriday.com 'littlethings' topic. i think it fits :)

It looks like it took a lot of hard work and effort to put in all that detail.
I think it fits the IFri word because everything is scaled down to be 'small things'.
Very nice. =]
