the first dog we got was called Ziggy, i think we got her when she was like a year old and she came with the bad habit of escaping from the yard and chasing cars.

one day two people came walking up to our back fence carrying her because she'd gotten run over. that is the first time i remember being pretty heartbroken. We got another whippet sometime later, this one was a puppy, and our parents let us name her.. so we called her 'Ziggy'. that's what you get when you let 5 and 7 year olds name dogs.
